In 1980. I was 18 and when the U.S Hockey Team beat those Commie Bastard Russians I got interested in
stagflation. I loved Ronald Reagan from the start and my first trip into a voting booth was for him.
BEFORE YOU WERE IN RADIO, WHAT OTHER JOBS DID YOU HOLD?
Ha! Roofer, Fry Cook, Busboy, Bell Boy, Horse Trainer (thoroughbreds), Salesman, screen printer, construction
labor and bartender.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN RADIO?
The short version is I had a real passion for Conservatism. I was inspired by Rush Limbaugh’s success and I
harassed a local station long enough to secure an audition. The rest as they say.....
AS WE KNOW, CONSERVATIVES HAVE DIFFERING ISSUES WHICH ARE MOST
IMPORTANT TO THEM. WHAT ARE THE TOP FOUR ISSUES THAT ARE MOST
IMPORTANT TO YOU?
You see this is where today’s politics, or our version of them, has made us “Smorgasbord Conservatives.” By this
I mean there are so many “alleged issues” that no one will agree on them all. Yeah, let’s have this giant tent!
Baloney. I am committed to the idea of Human Liberty empowered by Natural Law. Both of these principles are
found in the Declaration and the Constitution. Anyone who believes in these two principles, truly believes in them,
will agree on almost EVERYTHING political. If you truly defend Human Liberty, then you would oppose all
income taxes. ALL of them. Because one man does not have the Natural Right to vote away the fruits of another
man's labor through taxation.
I HAVE THE BELIEF, BASED ON HOW THE PRIMARIES WENT, THAT THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN BEING A REPUBLICAN AND BEING A CONSERVATIVE IS WIDENING. WHAT IS
YOUR THOUGHT ON THIS?
When Republicanism takes a scimitar to it’s mooring to Limited Self Government it ceases to BE a Conservative
home for people as a political party. Yes. The gulf is now an ocean between the two. Conservatives...REAL
Conservatives...should focus our remaining political energies on evangelizing Liberty and Natural Law; Limited
Self Government to Republicans and anyone else who will listen. These principles are easy to explain, are
instinctively programmed in us and will serve as the base for the next Conservative Movement.
YOU ARE ONE OF THE FEW CONSERVATIVE TALK SHOW HOSTS THAT GAVE RON PAUL
AT LEAST SOME CREDIT. YOU NEVER ENDORSED HIM AND I DON’T EVEN THINK YOU
SAID YOU WOULD VOTE FOR HIM. WHAT DID YOU FIND APPEALING ABOUT HIM? WAS
THERE ANYTHING THAT HE SAID THAT YOU DIDN’T LIKE?
I DID vote for Ron Paul here in Louisiana. I even caucused for him. See Liberty and Natural Law answers
above. Paul is a great thinker on these things and spares himself the canned speeches and one line clichés
that are so overused today. He knows the answer to most of our alleged problems are NOT to be found in
Congress. It is not so much that he said something I didn’t like as it is I didn’t agree with the immediate pull-out of
Iraq he advocated. I went to a Ron Paul rally and I can tell you the Truther, Anti-War (any war) wackos were
dominant. We have a lot of work to do before someone like Paul becomes a national force and at that time a true
Revolution will be upon us.
WHAT WOULD A MIKE CHURCH PRESIDENCY LOOK LIKE?
Like Thomas Jefferson’s. Immediate federal hiring freeze, save for the military. Sunset all Executive Orders, in
effect since Lincoln, that make law (see article 1 Section 1 “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in
a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”) I would order
the Treasury Department to stop collecting payroll taxes (Treasury is an Executive Department). Eliminate the
EPA cabinet position. DOE’s (energy and education) are disbanded. HUD dissolved and Secretary eliminated.
The Federal Reserve Board is ordered to sunset themselves, sunset the national bank system they manage and
submit a plan to return all it’s capital into the U.S. Treasury account that was put up for bid on Day 1. I will
deliver a State of the Union and read to the Congress Article II and then Article 1, Section 8 and thereby notify
the Congress that any bill not clearly and specifically invoking Constitutional Authority will be vetoed. Period.
I will ask Congress to recall Federal judges that have violated their oath of office and not exhibited “Good
Behavior” (as the Constitution calls for). I will fire all 100 U.S. Attorneys and order an immediate review of all
non-violent cases brought against the People by the Federal Government.
Since the Congress is only empowered to establish “uniform rules of naturalization” but is empowered to “protect
from invasion,” I would request that Congress direct the several border states to present their own plans of
securing their borders with Mexico and Canada. Each state governor may petition the Congress to hire and assign
as many members of the Armed Services as necessary to carry out that task.
I will order the Treasury to deliver an account of all the gold on hand in Fort Knox, we will need this number to
get back on the Gold Standard.
I would notify the State Department that they are to recall all non-ambassadorial employees abroad. I would
schedule meetings with the German, Japanese and Philippine leaders and inform them of my intention to withdraw
all non-Naval forces. Naval Forces will be deployed to insure the safe passage of American goods to foreign
ports of call and to prosecute piracies.
I would instruct the Interior Department to conduct a review of all National Parks and to determine each parks'
last private or public owner. I would then instruct the Interior Department to begin the process of returning those
properties to their rightful owners/states to manage. The Federal Government has no business being in the forest
management business.
So that’s my first day before lunch, shall I go on?

History leads on all counts on this one. From the time I was quoting Patrick Henry at age 9, I have been a U.S.
history nut. It is the one thing that truly SHOULD unite all Americans. I am always reading 3 or 4 books at a time
on the subject which probably explains why I sometimes confuse events and dates!
YOUR DISCUSSION OF THE CONSTITUTION IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT REALLY DREW
ME INTO YOUR SHOW. MANY PEOPLE GIVE LIP SERVICE TO THE CONSTITUTION, BUT
YOU, AS DO I, HAVE A DEEP RESPECT FOR THE CONSTITUTION. IN YOUR OPINION, WHY
IS IT THAT THE CONSTITUTION HAS BEEN SO OVERLOOKED BY THE LAST FEW
GENERATIONS OF POLITICIANS? WHY ARE THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY
ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN? WHAT CAN THE “AVERAGE JOE” DO TO COMBAT THE
MARGINALIZATION OF THE CONSTITUTION?
Simple Answer: You can’t know the Constitution unless you have people to promote it and to teach it. I think it
is being taught, but not as a document. It is being taught as a series of Supreme Court Cases, most of which are
not constitutionally sound decisions. This is the major problem. The solution is to actually teach the Constitution,
the text itself. I am preparing a new movie that gets the ball rolling on the subject. People should not trust this
sacred document’s teaching to public or private schools. Do it yourself. Pick up “The Politically Correct guide to
the Constitution” by Dr. Kevin R.C. Gutzman. Read the Federalist Papers. Read notes from the VA Ratifying
Convention (1788) which is the greatest deliberation on the document outside of Congress.
WHAT SORT OF TAX PLAN DO YOU ADVOCATE?
Excise Taxes on pre-defined goods like gasoline and all legal services. I favor duties and imposts on imports,
evenly assessed regardless of industry (as a per cent). I would collect fees to process and preserve copies of all
copyrighted, trademarked and patented products. The Postal Service can add a fee to the price of stamps to pay
for postal workers salaries, post roads and the printing of stamps. That’s it.
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED WRITING A BOOK? IF YOU DID, WHAT TOPIC DO YOU THINK
YOU WOULD TACKLE FIRST?
I want to write a pamphlet, like Common Sense. Think of my book as the classical liberals version of Harvey
Penick’s ”Little Red Book”. I enjoy writing the scripts for our expanding series of U.S. History movies. It would
be fun to write a political thriller about the U.S. being taken over by a Che Guevera style Marxist. Oh wait!

doesn't just pay lip service to them. He respects their
words and documents. He studies the history behind their
actions and their writings and injects it into today's politics.
He has a deep respect for and knowledge of the
Constitution.
