TEA PARTIES
With the steady increases in taxation, regulation and entitlement programs over the past 80 years, I would say a "Tea Party" is looooong overdue. However, many in this nation have already staged Tea parties and many more are still planned. April 15th has been set up as a day for many Tea Parties to occur. Some are small Tea Parties which may only draw 20 people. Others are going to be huge Tea Parties which will draw thousands and thousands of people.
I always hear people ask, "What can we do? What can we do to stop the madness?" Well, here's your opportunity. Attend a Tea Party. If there isn't any planned in your area, organize one. If there is one within a few hours driving distance from your house, you have no excuse not to be there. I, myself, will be attending the Tea Party in New York City on April 15th. I am driving about an hour and a half or so to get there. I have taken off early from work that day to make sure that I attend. There are no excuses not to be at one.
Is it going to change the country over night? Probably not. Did the Sons of Liberty believe their Tea Party would have such an effect that more than 230 years later, citizens of this country would still be talking about their actions? Probably not. But their Tea Party did change things for the better. And the possibility that the Tea Parties we attend will change things for the better is great, so long as we take it seriously and show up in numbers that no one, not even the liberal media can ignore. This is our chance to make history. This is our opportunity to tell a government that they can no longer walk all over us and confiscate our hard earned money through oppressive taxation. This is our time to do something great.
So you can sit back and let other people do it. You can sit back, stay at home, watch t.v. and find any excuse not to go to a Tea Party. OR....You can make sure that you are at one no matter what you need to do to get there. What can I do? What can I do? Stop asking and start doing.

Also, as I stated above, I will be attending the New York City Tea Party. My friend Andrew Wilkow, host of Sirius Satellite Radio's The Wilkow Majority, has put together a pre-Tea Party party at The Patriot Saloon. The pre part is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 or so. The NYC Tea Party is from 7:00 - 9:00.

And one other note, there are rumors that idiots from MoveOn and Acorn and several other liberal groups have been dispatched to cause disturbances and run interference at as many Tea Parties as possible. There are also rumors of them posing as conservatives and trying to get people to sign their "petitions" which will then be used to fake support for Obama's policies or worse, to collect information on anyone attending these events. So, PLEASE, be very careful about giving out any information to anyone at any Tea Party.
I am looking forward to spending several hours with thousands of people that love this country and the principles it was founded upon.
