ST. BALDRICK'S FUNDRAISING UPDATE
I wanted to thank everyone who made a donation to St. Baldrick's on our behalf. Through the generous donations of many ProudConservative.com friends, my daughter and I were able to raise $1000.00 for children's cancer research. My daughter cut 11 inches of her hair off, which will be used to make a wig for a child going through cancer treatment, and I shaved my head.
I think it is so important that we, as conservatives, donate to charity as often as we can. Obviously, most of us can't afford to donate to every worthwhile charity. But we can pick one or two charities and do our best to help raise funds for them. My two charities happen to be St. Baldrick's and The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. Charities do a much better job than any government entity could ever do. The charities do it better, faster and more efficient. The government does not need to be involved in such activities. We citizens can fund these programs ourselves without government beaurocrats wasting half the money on themselves.
