POLITICAL FUNK
Yes everyone.....I am still here. I am experiencing a bit of a political funk again. It's not simply because Obama won. Truthfully, I was expecting that. And even had McCain won....would that have really have been so much better for conservatives? I think I would have been in a political funk no matter who won the election. But as I said it is not only the election results. It's all the nonsense that lead up to the elections and all the crap that has gone on since the election. Bailout after bailout. Throwing good money after bad with no regards to the enumerated powers in the Constitution. The government is taking over industries and dictating what should and should not happen in other industries. AND the American public doesn't even bat an eye?!!!! And I'm not talking only about Democrats. How many so-called Republicans have hopped on the "Who care's about the Constitution? Let's do what we want to do regardless of if it's Constitutional or not" train.
This little rant is not aimed at the majority of the people that visit ProudConservative.com. My readers and customers and friends tend to be lovers of freedom and the Constitution. I've heard from so many of you that seem to be experiencing the same funk that I am feeling. We are all asking, "When is this insanity going to end? Is it going to end?"
After the election, I was trying to stay upbeat and positive. I am sill trying to stay positive. But our elected officials are making it harder and harder. This country and the spirit that created it is ill. I am not ready to say it is dying yet......but unless something is done soon, the United States that once was, will be on life support waiting for the libs to pull the plug.
So yes....I am still here. I will be fighting this socialism. I will be fighting this attempt to bring the United States toward some collectivism paradise nonsense. I will do what I can to promote liberty and freedom.....true liberty and freedom. I will do what I can to bring back the vision of our Founding Fathers. But I need this little bit of a break to regroup....to reorganize my thoughts....to try to wrap my head around what is going on here!
