CARBON OFFSETS?
My wife has been bugging me to do some landscaping to our yard. She wants to add in a few trees and some decorative plantings. So since everyone is taking advantage of guilt-ridden S.U.V. drivers, I thought I would too. So if you drive an S.U.V. and want to offset your carbon emissions, you can send me $40.00 and I'll promise to plant a tree or a shrub or a bush.....in my yard.

Good one, I think that Al Gore and everyone that appeared at his "concert", esp. Sheryl Crowe, Leo Di Caprio, Travolta, Madonna, hmm, who else, well, you get the idea....I think they should pick up the tab since they use more than we would in a lifetime. Dont cha think?

i'd like to give a shout out to the Arctic Monkeys. They were asked to play the show, but according to Rush, they declined because they felt it would be hypocritical for them to tell others to abstain from energy use.
I don't know why they thought that should matter. Hypocrisy seemed to be a recurring theme during the show. A few decades ago when she was busy boycotting bands whose lyrics were offensive, it is unlikely that Tipper Gore would even shared the same stage as some of the artists playing. But apparently now she is quite chummy with them.
